We have lots of fun learning together and independently, both in the classroom and outside.

Our work is based on half termly topics covering all areas of the curriculum. These topics stimulate and challenge us and help us to develop a love of learning.
We start the morning with handwriting practise together on the carpet.
During the rest of the morning we work mainly on Maths and English (reading, writing, phonics and grammar).
In the afternoons we all love our different topic activities. We learn lots of things about the world around us through science, geography, history, art, design and technology and computing. In addition we also enjoy doing RE, Music, PE and PHSE.
We have lots of areas around the classroom and outside where we can take part in continuous provision (independent learning) tasks and complete challenges. We use our skills and imaginations to help us to become more independent learners.
Year one is an exciting place to learn and make friends!
